During his time as a senior engineer and project lead at Titan Systems, LLC, in Lexington Park, Maryland, Derek Lengenfelder performed project research, computer-aided design (CAD) engineering, software development and oversight, and many additional services. He was also responsible for personnel. Derek Lengenfelder also developed a CAD prototype for housing a computer system.
Before joining Titan Systems, Derek Lengenfelder served as technical lead and senior software and hardware engineer at SURVICE Engineering. His responsibilities included firmware management and software management. He supported a number of systems, including DEVCOM Tactical Resupply Vehicles and DEVCOM Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory aerial vehicles.
Mr. Lengenfelder has also worked in software engineering roles at Kinex (part of Planned Systems International) and Integrity Applications Incorporated. He studied electrical and computer engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, with a minor in robotics. When he is not working as a software engineer, he spends time reading technical materials related to his field of work, including robotics, programming, materials science, and artificial intelligence.
